UCP, also known as the Army Combat Uniform Pattern (ACUPAT), is a digital pixellated camo pattern modelled after the MARPAT of the US Marine Corp which itself was similar to the CADPAT used by the Canadian forces. The US forces are in the process of gradually replacing their uniforms with Universal Camouflage Pattern with the Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP), especially because of the variants available for OCP.

There are three colors in UCP – tan, grey and green known as Desert Sand 500, Urban Grey 501 and Foliage Green 502, respectively. Black is absent from the pattern.
