Saba is a special municipality of the Netherlands located in the Caribbean. The small Dutch island has an area of only 13 square kilometres.
The present day flag of Saba has four colors – red, white, blue and yellow. It was designed by 18-year old Edmond Daniel Johnson and was one of the 130 entries presented to the Commission. The flag was adopted on 6 December 1985.
The red, white and blue have probably been derived from the Dutch national flag. The yellow occurs as a five-pointed star placed in the center. The closest Pantone® values of the red, blue and yellow are 485 C, 287 C and 108 C, respectively.
