The flag of Russia has three colors – white, blue and red – in three equal-sized horizontal stripes. The present flag is derived from the Tsarist tricolour which itself comes from the flag flown by Dutch ships. Traditionally, the colors in the Russian flag represent, in priority, God (white), the King (blue) and the people (red).

There is no Russian law that specifies the flag colors. However, most people use hexadecimal codes, #FFFFFF, #0039A6 and #D00B0E. The RGB and CMYK equivalent codes are in the table. The closest Pantone® (PMS) values are 286 C (blue) and 485 C (red).
