The national flag of Norway has three colors – red, white and blue. There has been considerable confusion with respect to the exact tones of these colors. As per the law, the colors are intense red and dark blue. However, the Nordic Council suggests Pantone® 186 C for red and Pantone® 287 C for the blue (Pantone® 301 C was specified as blue earlier by the same authority). These specifications are not adhered to strictly. For instance, on the Norwegian government web site, Pantone® values 032 U and 281 U (uncoated for both colors) are mentioned. But the Norwegian flag producers don’t agree with these and use 186 C or 200 C for the red.

Based on the Pantone® codes 186 C and 287 C, the hexadecimal values are #C8102E and #003087 for the red and blue, respectively; the equivalent RBG and CMYK are in the table.
