The Scottish flag is also known as St Andrew’s Cross or the Saltire. It consist of a diagonal white cross on blue. Legend has it that Saint Andrew was crucified on an X-shaped cross. The flag is called bratach na h-Alba in Scottish Gaelic and Banner o Scotland in Scots. Over centuries, and depending on how the blue color was obtained, the Saltire can have sky blue or navy blue field.
