The flag of Chuvashia has two colors – gold (yellow) and purple (red). The yellow/gold stands for, amongst other things, wealth, justice and mercy. Purple (which is more of a deep red) is an important color in Chuvash culture used in folk ornaments. It symbolises dignity, power and courage.
The flag is one of the official symbols of the Chuvash Republic. The “Tree of Life” resembling a revered oak tree adorns the center of the flag. The tree is stylised based on the Old Chuvash runic symbols. It stands represents stability and durability.
The closest Pantone® values of the gold and purple are 102 C and 2350 C, respectively.
