The light blue in the flag is for the sky, the darker shade of blue for the Caribbean Sea while the yellow circle in the center represents the sun. The green band around the yellow circle is for the lush vegetation of the region. Right in the center are two interlocking black-colorer Cs in form of broken links of a chain. They represent the unity of the Caribbean Community members as well as a break from their colonial past.
