Bonnie Blue banner was used by the Confederate States of America at the beginning of the American Civil War. The unofficial flag was first used sometime in 1810 and consisted of a white five-pointed star on a blue field. The color of the star was later changed to gold (yellow) and the banner was adopted by the Congress of the Republic of Texas. It was then referred to as the Burnet Flag.
