Bonair is one of the islands of the Caribbean Netherlands situated in the Leeward Antilles in the Caribbean Sea. The flag of the Dutch municipality has five colors – yellow, white, blue, red and black. Yellow represents the sun, blue the sea while white is for the sky. A black compass ring is placed in the white stripe representing the citizens that come from all the four corners of the globe. The red six-pointed star inside the compass is for the original six villages of Bonaire.
